Tennis rebounds after losses to sweep Army 9-0

Andy Foust / The Dartmouth Staff The Big Green men's tennis team came alive Sunday, sweeping Army after losing to University of North Carolina at Greensboro and University of Binghamton earlier in the weekend.




The Big Green men's basketball team edged out Brown in overtime Friday and went on to defeat Yale by three points on Saturday.

'Our Green' provides online College calendar

"Our Green," a comprehensive online calendar created by students to serve as a hub for student groups and campus organizations, is scheduled to be launched during Winter Carnival weekend, according to the web site's creators. The web site allows group leaders to create web pages and publicize events from one central web location.

Board announces tuition increase

The College's Board of Trustees approved a 4.8 percent increase in tuition and a 13 percent increase in financial aid for the 2009-2010 academic year during its meeting in New York City this weekend. The Board has not yet made public the specifics of its plan to respond to the economic crisis and address Dartmouth's $40 million shortfall.

Sutton, a Dartmouth theater professor, is the author of the new play "Complicit," which debuted this winter at London's Old Vic Theatre.

Advertising budget likely to face cuts, Hopkins says

As the College's endowment falters, any budget cuts to the advertising and marketing offices of the athletic department will depend on the amount of corporate sponsorships received this year, according to Sam Hopkins, associate athletic director for marketing and promotions. Hopkins said that there is a direct correlation between these sponsorship sales and how much money can be allotted to Big Green promotions. "It all depends on how well sponsorship sales go," he said.
