What I Do Know
I am, as I am so often forced to tell the ubiquitous brother or sister at the door, a three. This makes me inherently dumb, insecure and prone to social faux pas.

The vast differences that exist between the sexes have always been well documented. Unfortunately, most of these documents have been lost, because they have been left under the care of men.
John Sloan Dickey once said, "The terrifying truth is that young men learn responsibility by being permitted some opportunity to be irresponsible." President Dickey's famously candid reflection on human development remains just as true today as it did 40 years ago.
I have been living in Cairo for three months. It is a beautiful city, but every day is a struggle.
Since the announcement of the Trustee Initiative last February, the dialogue and events at Dartmouth surrounding its discussion have been pervaded by a malignant attitude of "Us vs.
To the Editor: The Dartmouth's Nov. 11th article, "Anti-Semitic slurs found in Topliff Hall" quotes Dean Nelson as saying, "Individuals have been held accountable for these actions in the past, and they will continue to be held accountable.
Note: The Dartmouth made an exception to its policy of not publishing anonymous submissions. After speaking to the author -- a female student at the College -- the editors of The Dartmouth determined the piece's content warranted an exception. About three years ago at Dartmouth, a former 'friend' sexually assaulted me.
To the Editor: In Friday's Dartmouth a student said something to the effect that it was hard to believe that anti-semitism of the kind recently demonstrated could take place at an Ivy League institution like Dartmouth.
I've been surprised of late to find many logical fallacies gracing many of my conversations and the pages of The Dartmouth.
There is no sexual assault at Dartmouth. No one is ever assaulted here, no one harassed, and certainly no student ever raped. Or maybe if she was grabbed, she asked for it.
When this whole thing crashed down over our shoulders last February, I was truly angry -- for a few days.
Considering the span of time (three weeks) that has progressed since Dartmouth Night and Homecoming, perhaps it is rather anachronous to speak of the experience.
If you've read any of my columns since the Trustee Initiative was announced, you probably know at least one thing about me: I am a firm believer in the positive aspects and influences of the Greek system at Dartmouth College.
To the Editor: Thank you for the extensive reporting and editorial coverage as of late concerning the future of the Greek System.
Where does that mysterious brick smokestack behind the Hop go? Does anyone ever think about the power plant attached to that smokestack, the one that supplies us all with (usually too much) heat and electricity? Well, I do.
I would like to take this paragraph to publicly announce that I am now officially 100 percent absolutely positively without a doubt strongly considering not ordering quite as much from J.
Perhaps John Cortese '02 should spend less time bowling and more considering the issues at hand before expounding upon them publicly.
To the Editor: I was disappointed to read Janelle Ruley's naive comparison of coeducation to the elimination of Greek life on campus.
Janelle Ruley is so dead-set on eliminating Greek students at Dartmouth she has become blinded by her own obsession.
This article is partially in response to Dan Galemba '03's editorial in Friday's issue entitled "It's Human Nature." In this article Mr.Galemba refers to both NAD and Lambda Upsilon Lambda as exclusive spaces on campus.
