The campus is different. I can't quite put my finger on it. Actually, yes I can. Sophomore summer is no longer; the air is colder, leaves are falling and the Class of 2008 is gallivanting around the globe.

We have weird ways of constructing masculinity on campus. Oh, living off campus. I don't know how I feel about it... Pros: More freedom. More independence.
As many students forsake dormitory life and begin to "play house" in off campus residences, the meaning of "sophomore summer -- no parents!" becomes even more apparent.
