The new millennium leg of the women's ice hockey team's schedule began in Chestnut Hill, Mass. on Wednesday night against the Boston College Eagles.
After falling 1-0 to Northeastern, the number one team in the nation, on New Year's Eve, Dartmouth rebounded beautifully as the Big Green handed Boston College a 5-2 loss on Wednesday night.
Junior Kristina Guarino's second goal of the game at 7:47 of the second period proved to be the game winner when she put a shot past Boston College's Christy Nentwig off a feed from Correne Bredin '02.
The win improves the Big Green to 8-5-0 overall (6-2-0 in the ECAC) while the Eagles fall to 2-10-0 (0-10-0 ECAC).
Bredin led the way for Dartmouth, scoring a goal and assisting on three others, including the game winner.
