Dartmouth football falls in a high-octane horse race at Brown

Jennie Post / The Dartmouth Staff Head Coach Buddy Teevens '79 called Saturday's football contest a "track meet." Brown and Dartmouth traded score after score until the final whistle, as Brown came out on top 56-35. The Bears' (4-5, 3-3 Ivy) offense was led almost single-handedly by WR Bobby Sewall.





Dartmouth football will look to solidify its third-place standing this weekend.

Jennie Post / The Dartmouth Staff Thanks to a profusion of big plays and complete domination in the turnover battle, Big Green football was able to put together its finest victory of the season against Cornell despite being outgained for the second weekend in a row. The Big Green defense forced an astounding seven turnovers, including five recovered fumbles (six forced) and two timely interceptions.

Men's soccer defeats Cornell, focuses attention on Brown

Jessica Griffen / The Dartmouth Staff Big Green men's soccer continued its winning ways this weekend, defeating Ivy League rival Cornell 3-1 in a tough 90-minute battle on the pitch. Overall, the team was satisfied with its play on Saturday. "We played pretty well," team co-captain Brian Lappas '08 said.
