Basketball loses to Lehigh to wrap up three-game home stand

Big Green men's basketball fell to Lehigh University, 73-60, on Saturday in Leede Arena to finish off a three-game home stand with one win and two losses. Lehigh (5-1, 0-0 Patriot) played a balanced game against the Big Green (1-4, 0-0 Ivy), managing to keep Dartmouth's leading scorer, forward Alex Barnett '09, at bay. Barnett finished the game shooting only four of 19 from the field for a total of nine points, 14 below his season average. Barnett was not the only Big Green player stifled by the Mountain Hawks' defense.

Men's basketball drops home opener to Colgate, 65-60

Alex Barnett '09 continued to lead the team in scoring with 22 points, his second 20-point performance in as many games, but it was not enough to take down the Raiders, who made 52.4 percent of their shots on the night. The Big Green (0-3, 0-0 Ivy) fell for the third straight time this season, but saw closer results.

Women's hockey gets back on track with two home wins

Men's and women's squash to open season this weekend

This weekend the Dartmouth men's and women's squash teams will open up their seasons at home at the Dartmouth Fall Classic when the United States Naval Academy, Bowdoin College, Connecticut College, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Wesleyan University, Tufts University, Hamilton College, Mount Holyoke College and Colby College will all visit Hanover. Head coach John Power enters his 10th season at the helm for the Big Green, and will be assisted by coaches Hansi Wiens and Ken Cucuel. On the men's side, the Big Green harbors high expectations.

Men's and women's rugby qualify for Nationals next spring

Successful 2008 seasons for Dartmouth's rugby programs culminated with both the women and men's teams earning bids to their respective national tournaments in the spring. Dartmouth women's rugby closed its season with an impressive win against fourth-seeded Vassar College to take third place at the Northeast Rugby Union finals on Sunday, Nov.





Against a field of nationally ranked boats, Dartmouth sailing claimed fifth place at the Atlantic Coast Championship.

Sailing ends fall season with two strong finishes

Larissa Cespedes / The Dartmouth Staff The Big Green sailing team wrapped up its fall season on a high note, securing a fourth-place finish at the Atlantic Coast Tournament, hosted by Boston University in Boston, Mass., and a fifth-place finish at the Atlantic Coast Championships, hosted by Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., this past weekend. On the Charles River, Sam Williams '12 and Anne Megargel '09 navigated to a sixth-place finish in the Division A races, tallying 24 points. Skipper Ed Jude Glackin '11, alongside crew Sarah Freihofer '10, improved Dartmouth's standings with a fifth-place finish in the Division B races by gaining 22 points. The team recorded 46 points overall, enough to claim fourth place in the field of 16 boats.
