Bequests: Threads of Legacy at Dartmouth

While well-known traditions such as running around the bonfire during Homecoming or participating in the polar bear plunge during Winter Carnival contribute significantly to Dartmouth’s legacy, smaller traditions such as bequests help shape the College’s legacy on a more personal level.  Bequests, which are items that are cyclically passed from a senior to an underclassman, typically within an organization, are usually clothing items, but they can be just about anything that the senior wishes to pass down.

Baptist congregation proposes new Hanover church

Christ Redeemer Church, a Hanover-based Baptist congregation led by Pastor Don Willeman, recently introduced updated plans to the Hanover Planning Board over a proposed church that the congregation wishes to build on a plot of land it purchased in 2017.

Last season, Dartmouth baseball finished 22-17-1 overall and 11-9 in Ivy League conference play, but the team understands that no success is guaranteed in the quest for its first Ivy League Championship since 2010. “I try to always remind the players, you never pick up where you left off,” head coach Bob Whalen said.
