Anonymity petition to be delivered

A petition criticizing the College’s challenge to the granting of anonymity to three of the nine plaintiffs in the ongoing class-action lawsuit against Dartmouth will be delivered to College president Phil Hanlon today.

Mink Brook rules to be strictly enforced

The town of Hanover is taking steps to more strictly enforce town ordinances regarding the use of Mink Brook and the Connecticut river area. These ordinances prohibit the installation of rope swings, limit access to the area from dawn to dusk as well as ban alcohol, large gatherings and amplified sound.

International students recommend changes to College in letter

Last week, a group of international students sent a letter to the College administration to call attention to the challenges they have encountered in pursuing off-campus internship and job opportunities. The letter contained six anonymous testimonials from international students and presented six recommendations to the College to better support international undergraduates.

College announces potential sites for new biomass heating plant

At an open forum in Filene Auditorium yesterday evening, the College proposed three potential locations for a new campus biomass heating facility: the south end of the Hanover Country Club’s golf course, the hill behind the Dewey parking lot and an area of College property two miles south of campus along Route 120.

Green Key weekend sees few arrests

College denied claims made by expelled student in lawsuit

Amid a nationwide increase in cases challenging results of college-led sexual misconduct investigations, last month, the College responded to the most recent case challenging its own disciplinary process. On April 30, the College filed its response to a lawsuit alleging that it led an “unfair” and biased investigation resulting in the wrongful expulsion of a male student accused of sexual assault. Dartmouth has denied the claims put forth in the complaint and has demanded a trial by jury “on all claims so triable.”
