Callen pick for new women's tennis coach

After being ranked the number one singles player in the NCAA East for women's tennis, touring the WTA for three years as a professional player, and acting as an assistant women's tennis coach at Harvard University, Jennifer Callen has settled down at Dartmouth College. Athletic Director Richard Jaeger announced Callen's selection as the women's tennis head coach yesterday after Chris Kerr's departure this past June.

Chen '00 serves as comeback kid

Dartmouth's fourth singles player, Rob Chen '00, could be truly be called a "comeback kid." Last fall, he badly broke his leg while engaged in a friendly wrestling match with fellow tennis player, Jeffrey Sloves '02.

Dirksen '00 named Ivy tennis Player of the Year

Tuesday's release of the All-Ivy League lists for the sport of tennis bestowed the utmost honor to Dartmouth's tennis star Rebecca Dirksen '00. In a unanimous vote, Dirksen, who has been making history left and right this season, was chosen as the Ivy League Player of the Year for the sport of women's tennis.

Women's lax heads to Virginia for quarters showdown

If nothing else, tomorrow's matchup with No. 2 Virginia in Charlottesville should conjure up memories of just how close the Big Green women's lacrosse team came to earning a berth in the national championship game last year. Trailing 6-5 midway through the second half of the NCAA semifinal against Virginia, Kate Graw '00 netted what appeared to be the equalizing goal.
