Tomorrow's field hockey game (11 a.m., Scully-Fahey Field) is a tale of two clashing colors. The Big Red of Cornell (7-8, 2-4 Ivy) comes limping into Hanover for its season finale as the losers of five straight games.
The Dartmouth women's hockey team opens its season ranked second in the nation. The team will face off against the Catamounts of Vermont in two games this weekend.
The Dartmouth Men's Rugby team enters the Northeastern playoffs this weekend as the third seed in its division.
Harvard never knew what hit them. There they were, strolling along at 5-0, getting ready to face a 1-4 Dartmouth team that had been going even further downhill since its star quarterback broke his middle finger.
Classmates and once intense rivals, injured QB duo has developed a lasting friendship
The Interstate-89 showdown is never anything like the beautiful stretch of highway that separates Dartmouth College and the University of Vermont.
Three Big Green athletes earned Ivy League Player of the Week honors for their performances last weekend:
The freshmen were flying this past weekend for the Dartmouth sailing program, as the team captured yet another team title and qualified for the Freshman Atlantic Coast Championships. Dartmouth coeds wrapped up the Boston University Invitational, besting the field of ten on the chilly Charles River on Sunday.
Freshman knocks off Princeton's No. 1 player and teammate Sloves almost reaches quarterfinals
After a scoreless 111 minutes of play, Connecticut sophomore Jessica Gjertsen scored the lone goal of the game to lead the ninth-ranked Huskies to a 1-0 double-overtime win over Dartmouth at Chase Field yesterday afternoon. Play was all over the field, with neither Dartmouth nor UConn controlling the ball for too long.
The Dartmouth Women's Rugby Club defeated the University of Massachusetts on Saturday to become the New England champions and earn the first seed in the upcoming Northeastern Tournament.

The Dartmouth women's soccer team will be riding two rousing victories in the last week as it heads to Cambridge to face Harvard Saturday at 12.
The Dartmouth women's volleyball team heads into this weekend's contests at Leede Arena against Princeton (tonight at 7) and Penn (tomorrow at 4) with a 7-9 overall record and 2-4 record in the Ivy League. The Big Green is coming off a tough weekend in which the team was swept by Cornell and Columbia on the road by a pair of 3-1 scores. Ideally, the Dartmouth women would like to emerge from the weekend contests with two wins against a couple of tough Ivy League foes, but the women know this will be a difficult task because both Princeton and Penn swept their games last weekend and will be riding a strong wave of momentum into Leede Arena. With most of the Big Green families in attendance for the team's annual Parents Weekend, the women hope to minimize the errors and inconsistency that have plagued the squad over the past two weekends in order to get its Ivy League season back on track. Another intriguing storyline will be the defensive play of Ashley Dean '02, who is 40 digs shy of the all-time Dartmouth record. If the team can execute its well-balanced attack effectively and efficiently in these crucial matches, the Big Green can bring its record back to .500 and begin an ascent back up the Ivy League standings.
On paper it seems that Dartmouth's matchup with Harvard this Saturday should be a blowout. Harvard is unbeaten in the Ivy League and stands at 8-2 overall, while Dartmouth is winless in League play and is barely keeping its head above water at 4-6.
The spotlights will be on the Dartmouth men's hockey team Saturday night at Thompson Arena--literally.
