Middlebury edges Big Green water polo

The Dartmouth men's water polo team finished second in the North Atlantic Division of the Collegiate Water Polo Association last weekend, completing its season with nine wins and two losses, both of which came at the hands of a much-improved Middlebury College squad. The North Atlantic Championship Tournament at Middlebury College began well for Dartmouth, with wins against Bates College and Boston College Saturday.

Volleyball drops two in disappointing road weekend

After last Saturday's thrilling four-game upset over Yale, the Dartmouth women's volleyball team appeared primed to put a forgettable first half of the season behind it in its second trip through the Ivy League schedule. During Homecoming weekend, the team took to the road in matches against the best and worst of the Ivy League.

Weatherston hits 100 career points in win

While the rest of the campus was busy rounding up freshmen for the bonfire, No. 2 Dartmouth women's hockey burned Boston College in a convincing 7-1 victory in Thompson Arena on Friday night to open up its regular season. Junior Katie Weatherston, Dartmouth's leading scorer from a year ago, led the way for the Big Green (1-0) with a hat trick, and she added two assists late in the third period to finish with a five-point performance.

Terrific trio collects wins at Regionals

After a three-week layoff, a trio of Dartmouth's top men's tennis players returned to action and form during the five-day Intercollegiate Tennis Association Northeast Men's Regional Championships, otherwise known as the ITA Regionals. Leaving campus Friday morning, the three-man Dartmouth tennis squad -- consisting of David Webb '05, Andres Reyes '05 and Jeff Schechtman '08 -- arrived just in time for Webb and Reyes' 7 p.m.

Women's sailors qualify for Atlantic Coast champs

While most Dartmouth students spent this sunny Saturday in long pants and fleece, the Big Green sailing team raced toward glory in neoprene and dry suits, securing berths in top regattas throughout the East Coast . Despite the extreme drop in mobility and sex appeal, the sailors once again showed their mettle in heavy winds up and down the Northeast. The women's team saga reached one of their major milestones at Connecticut College.

Stevens leads Big Green ladies with 165

The women's golf team traveled to Connecticut for the Yale Invitational this weekend, finishing seventh out of the nine schools at the two-round tournament. It was a disappointing finish for Dartmouth, as they have far more potential than they showed on the Yale course.
