A first and second-place finish by junior John Reidy and three second place finishes by Kemper Diehl '06 highlighted the Dartmouth men's swimming and diving team's tri-meet at Brown on Saturday. The Big Green fell to Brown, 122.5-118.5, and to Navy, 162-81, while Navy also knocked off the hosts, 134-107.

"In the end, Brown's depth gave them the advantage" said Peter Laidlaw '07. Reidy's girth, however, kept Dartmouth in the hunt. Reidy won the 200 butterfly with a time of 1:54.45. He also finished second as part of the 400 freestyle relay team, also comprised of Diehl, Laidlaw and freshman Gordon Russell. Reidy's performance put the team back into motion after a disappointing fist half.

Diehl also placed second in the 50 and 100 freestyles while junior Yale Fillingham turned in a second-place finish in the 200 freestyle and junior Chris Mudd placed second in the 200 backstroke.

The Big Green returns to action after the break at the University of Rhode Island Invitational on Jan. 14.
