’18s, your mere existence makes me feel old. And with that feeling comes the compulsion to convey something that I, like any old person, will preface by saying that you will only really understand it when you, too, are old. It’s cyclic and ironic — and a little sad, to be honest — but bear with me.

‘Iliad,’ Marsalis to mark Hop’s upcoming season

The Hopkins Center for the Arts begins a packed year on Thursday with its “Exploring the Arts at Dartmouth” marketplace, a teaser of the student ensembles, award-winning theater performances, dance troupes, world-renowned vocalists and films it will host this year.

Big Green coaches experience considerable turnover

Athletes from the Class of 2018 are not the only new faces in the Big Green sports scene this year. Six of Dartmouth’s 34 varsity teams have new head coaches, including fall sports women’s cross country, women’s soccer and women’s and men’s heavyweight crew.

Lohse '12 releases tell-all book detailing fraternity hazing

In about 300 pages, Lohse describes SAE as fascinating and repulsive, detailing frequent cocaine usage and pledge activities like vomiting competitions. New members, he alleges, were forced to swim in kiddie pools filled with bodily fluids, chug vinegar and consume omelets made of vomit.

Coed Council members endorse new constitution

|

Membership of the College’s coed houses endorsed a new constitution on August 13 that would implement a robust nondiscrimination policy among member institutions and ensure full financial aid is available for all members of Coed Council bodies, in addition to establishing Amarna Undergraduate Society as an affiliate member of the Council. Debate over the constitution will resume this fall when full membership returns to campus.
