Dartmouth continues smooth sailing in women's races

|

The Dartmouth women's sailing team, hot off recent wins on the more competitive co-ed circuit, arrived at this weekend's women's event guns blazing. The Big Green crushed the field this weekend at Boston University's President's Trophy. Over two days and 20 races, with a very light breeze, the Dartmouth team of Lauren Padilla '05, Liz Hyon '05, Emily East '06 and Christina Duncan '06 blew away the other 11 teams in attendance, winning the regatta by 11 points. "The women's team sailed very well on Saturday and were winning the regatta after eight races in each division," Duncan said.

Veterans deliver at UPenn Invite

It's funny how 0.13 seconds can define winning and losing. But 0.13 seconds is a remarkable margin in track and field time; many runners have won or lost a race in less than 0.13 seconds. At the Penn Invitational on Saturday afternoon, Dartmouth men's 4 x 400 meter relay team, made up of Mustafa Abdur-Rahim '04, Richard Cedrone '07, Charlie Stoebe '08 and Mike Carmody '08, won the race in 3:17:57, beating Cornell's 3:17:70 mark. "The 4x400 team ran a superb race, each leg getting passed on the first turn and out-kicking their competition in the final straight away every leg to win the relay race," said senior co-captain Brian McCarthy '05. The men's team performed well, winning several events and showing potential to win in other events.

The clear, the cream, anything to juice up the nation

Would you still watch the NBA if the players could jump 15 feet in the air? Of course you would, because let's face it, the only reason we watch the NBA now is because the players jump higher and move faster than people like us ever could. So what's wrong with a substance that allows athletes to recover faster, jump higher, lift more, and hit more home runs.
