Baseball sweeps Red Rolfe division rivals at home

Natalie Cantave / The Dartmouth Staff What a difference one weekend can make. After a poor offensive performance against Cornell University and Princeton University last weekend, Dartmouth exploded for 26 runs, including four home runs from Joe Purritano '16, to sweep four games against Brown University and vault Dartmouth (22-6, 8-4 Ivy) into first place in the Red Rolfe Divison by three games.

"I think it is great when student work is on display," said Michelle Berlinger '13, whose jewelry is included in the exhibition.

Tennis team face tough league play

Jin Lee / The Dartmouth Staff In the second weekend of Ivy League tennis play, the Big Green women fell 5-2 to the University of Pennsylvania at home, but pulled out a 4-3 win over Princeton University at home, while the men fell 4-3 to Penn in Philadelphia and 5-2 to the Tigers on the road. Against Penn (10-6, 2-3 Ivy) on Saturday, the Big Green women (8-7, 1-3 Ivy) got off to a slow start in doubles.

Faculty, administrators reflect on Folt's tenure

Jin Lee / The Dartmouth Staff Interim College President Carol Folt will head to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill to become its first female chancellor in June, marking the end of her 30-year career as a College professor and administrator. Folt joined the biology department in 1983 and has served in senior administrative roles since 2001, when she assumed the role of dean of graduate studies.

Softball takes two home twin bills

Natalie Cantave / The Dartmouth Staff Behind the dominant pitching of ace Kristen Rumley '15, the Dartmouth softball team swept a pair of doubleheaders against Brown University this weekend at the Dartmouth Softball Park. The Big Green (18-17, 8-4 Ivy) remains tied with Harvard University for first place in the Northern Division of the Ivy League as they dismantled the Bears (7-22, 1-11 Ivy) with excellent pitching and timely hitting. Rumley burned through Brown's lineup all weekend, allowing only two runs in 25 hyper-efficient innings.
