Last year, the Dartmouth women's basketball team got off to a slow start but turned its season around after defeating Northeastern and going on to compile a winning record and a second-place finish in the Ivy League.
Jessica Griffen / The Dartmouth Staff After a tough loss to Harvard last week, the women's hockey team went on to sweep its weekend games against Union (1-13-0, 0-6-0 ECACHL) and Rennselaer (6-7-2, 1-4-1 ECACHL), improving its overall record to 9-2-1, 7-2-0 ECACHL. Harvard squeaked away last Tuesday with a 2-1 victory over the Big Green at home.

However, this time Dartmouth had trouble shooting the ball all night and could not take care of the basketball, losing control of the game early and falling, 70-43. Dartmouth slipped to 3-4 on the season while Stony Brook earned its first win of the year. Forward Alex Barnett '09 led the Big Green as the only player to score in double digits with 14 points on 7-for-11 shooting and seven rebounds.

This Fall term marked the beginning of the required sexual assault awareness training program for all fraternity pledge classes, a program designed in collaboration with the Inter-fraternity Council, Mentors Against Violence and Sexual Assault Peer Advisors last spring.
