DHMC and TDI to collaborate with five other hospitals
Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center and The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical practice will partner with five other hospitals and clinics around the country in a data-sharing arrangement that is aimed at reducing costs and improving care quality, College officials announced on Wednesday. Cleveland Clinic, Denver Health, Geisinger Health System,Intermountain Healthcare and the Mayo Clinic will join with Dartmouth to share information on care outcomes and cost on a variety of medical conditions and treatments including knee replacements, heart failure and weight-loss surgery on which patients spend hundreds of billions of dollars each year, according to a DHMC press release.
Early decision admittances decline from last year
After discussions last year to increase the size of the Class of 2014, Dartmouth offered early acceptance to only 444 students 17 fewer than last year for the Class of 2015, according to a College press release. "For the Class of 2015, we're aiming for roughly 1,090 to 1,100 matriculants, which is where we had been for several years prior to the Class of 2014," Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid Maria Laskaris said in an interview.

Collis board apologizes for 'White Party' e-mail
The Collis Governing Board has apologized for a campus-wide e-mail sent by One Wheelock on Nov. 19 that advertised its "White Party," which featured the subject line "WHITE Supremacy." Approximately 30 students complained to the Collis Governing Board about the message's subject line, according to Tim Yang '13, the Board's chairman. The Collis Governing Board "immediately started working on how best to respond" after members of the organization's board of directors received the "WHITE Supremacy" e-mail, Richard D'Amato '13, a member of the group, and Mason Luke Cole '13, the Undergraduate Finance Committee representative, said.

County Attorney Saffo strives for public safety
