Visiting alum arrested Sat. for drunk driving

A Dartmouth alumnus visiting Hanover for his 10-year reunion was arrested on Saturday at 5:50 p.m. for driving under the influence of alcohol on Tuck Drive near the River Cluster residence halls.

Gary Sutnick '87, who currently resides in Brooklyn, NY., was stopped by Hanover Police after failing to stop properly at a stop sign on Tuck Drive and was subsequently found to be under the influence.

"The incident occurred early as far as drunk drivers go," Sgt. Michael Evans of Hanover Police Department said. "I don't know if he was staying there in the Cluster or if that's where the party occurred."

Sutnick was processed by the Hanover Police Department and is awaiting an arraignment on July 8, 1997 in Lebanon District Court.
