Guy Dixon '95 charged with indecent exposure

Guy Dixon '95 was arrested late Wednesday night and charged with indecent exposure and resisting arrest after he allegedly streaked the Green as part of a large group.

According to a Hanover Police press release, Dartmouth's Department of Safety and Security reported at 11:37 p.m. Wednesday that approximately 30 to 40 people were running nude near the Hopkins Center for the Performing Arts.

Hanover Police responded to the call and officers subsequently chased up to 40 people on foot. Only Dixon was caught and charged.

Dixon, 23, is from Dillwin, Va., and is a member of Alpha Delta fraternity.

The release did not specify whether the other people in the group were members of AD.

AD President Doug Grossberg '96 said Dixon was the only member of the group who was naked. He also said there were fewer than 30 people involved in the incident.

"There were guys following him, but they were all dressed," Grossberg said. "I don't really know why he did it. He wanted to do it before he left."

Dixon told The Associated Press last week that he and his fraternity brothers were bored Wednesday, so they "just decided to streak the Green."

Grossberg said Dixon went streaking after fraternity meetings.

Dixon, who could not be reached for comment last night, was released on $1,000 bail and personal recognizance, according to the release. He is scheduled to appear in Hanover District Court on May 10.
