Co-owners of Hanover Haircutters Ryan and Robert Romano, a father-son duo, have voiced criticism of the Office of Pluralism and Leadership’s hair care voucher program, which serves low-income communities on campus by offsetting the cost of hair care.


Indigenous Peoples' Month kicks off

On Oct. 14, Native American students launched a month-long celebration of Indigenous Peoples’ Month, which began with a demonstration on the Green recognizing Indigenous Peoples’ Day — a holiday celebrated on the same day as the federal holiday Columbus Day. 


New barber shop opens in Hanover

Philadelphia native Sean Taylor recently opened a new barbershop in Hanover called The People’s Barbershop and Shave Parlor. The barbershop, which caters to all hair types, shares a space with Robert’s Flowers, located underneath the Starbucks on Main Street. 

Foreign study programs offered by the College consistently feature higher GPAs than on-campus classes.


Study abroad programs see higher grades, per College report

For the past decade, the average GPA in classes taken on language study abroad programs, language study abroad plus programs and foreign study programs has been significantly higher than the average GPA in classes taken on campus, according to an internal College report obtained by The Dartmouth.
