In their last races of the season, the Dartmouth men's cross country team finished fifth while the women's team placed 12th at the NCAA regionals this weekend at Franklin Park in Boston, Mass. Despite its high finish, the men's team had a heartbreaking race to close out the season. Competing in the Northeast Region of the NCAA Division-I cross-country regional, the men's team was vying for a spot at the NCAA national championship, both as a team and individually.

The Dartmouth women's volleyball team closed out its season on the road this weekend in disappointing fashion, losing to Princeton in a hard-fought five-set tiebreak on Friday before falling in four sets to league champion University of Pennsylvania on Saturday. With the two losses, Dartmouth (11-13, 7-7 Ivy) dropped to fifth place in the Ivy standings. "We definitely had our ups and downs this season, but we are a much stronger team now," co-captain Megan MacGregor '10 said.

ZACH INGBRETSEn / The Dartmouth Staff The Big Green offense could not deliver in the final moments of Saturday's game, as the Dartmouth football team fell to Brown, 14-7, in overtime in Providence, R.I. This school's mascot situation is ridiculous. Honestly, what happened? During my first two years here, there was a whole mess of competition and controversy over what our mascot should be.

Aerial attack will be key for Big Green in battle with Brown

|

ZACH INGBRETSEN / The Dartmouth Staff Coming off a thrilling double-overtime victory against Cornell, the Dartmouth football team will travel to Providence, R.I., this weekend to take on Brown in another an Ivy League matchup. The Big Green (2-6, 2-3 Ivy) can move into third place in the Ivy League with a win on Saturday, but will have to play a complete football game in order to have a shot against the heavily favored Bears. Brown (5-3, 3-2 Ivy) was picked to finish third in the Ivy League preseason media poll, and is considered by many to be one of the strongest teams in the conference. Despite their seemingly average record, the Bears are an experienced team that is loaded with upperclassmen who have proven themselves in big games.
