Everyone remembers the story of the wolf in sheep's clothing. Maybe mom recounted the story as she tucked you in one night, or perhaps Saturday morning cartoons first introduced you to the fable. Now you can see a celebrated artist's rendering of that tale in the exhibition titled "Jacob Lawrence-Aesop's Fables," currently on view at the Hood Museum.

The mission of Dartmouth College has evolved through the years, as it should. The needs of our country and society have changed, and the College has sought to meet those needs. This year, the College has new leadership and new focus. It may be time to take another look, to think about where we have been, and where we want to go.

In less than two weeks, most Dartmouth seniors will take final exams just as they have since their freshman fall. But years ago, from 1929 through 1967, seniors were required to take special comprehensive examinations - known to students as "comps" - before graduating from the College.

Is it possible that Dartmouth Trustee Susan Dentzer '77 just has no tact? It can't be! After all, she is a well-respected correspondent for The News Hour with Jim Lehrer on PBS, so she has obviously learned to choose her words carefully at some point along the way. Maybe she just doesn't get it ...

Meg Smoot '01, the newly-elected undergraduate member of the Trustee Steering Committee said she knew from the first time she set foot on campus that Dartmouth was perfect for her, but did not find her niche on campus until she joined her sorority, Kappa Kappa Gamma.
