The other day I went to the dentist. I hate the dentist, so you can add that to the list of things that I hate from my last column of the winter. When I was leaving to pay, the lady who was checking me out got into some small talk with me, which I also hate, and she asked, "So, what did you go to college for?"

Just like the New York Knicks' season came and went this weekend, so did Green Key. The days and nights kind of blended into one big blur for me, sort of like J.R. Smith's ventures to the 40/40 Club during the NBA playoffs. Therefore I apologize in advance if you were expecting a detailed Green Key weekend recap.

What happened to the nice weather? Nothing makes me more upset than rain in May, but I had no choice this weekend but to put the tanning on hold. Instead, I was forced to sit inside and watch sports, even hockey and golf.

It's crazy to think that my freshman parents' weekend was three years ago, but I remember it like it was yesterday.

It's officially time to grab that net and go catch that beautiful butterfly, because spring has arrived. And it feels incredible. This weekend almost felt like the start of a new term.

In my sign-off last week I vowed to never miss another weekend here at Dartmouth. This ideology was put to the test quickly, as I had an interview in New York last Friday. And to make the challenge even harder, my mom was coincidently going to be there for business.

Pop quiz! What was the biggest storyline of the weekend?

Ever since I can remember, I've always been pretty much the same. What matters to me has never really wavered. It's family first, friends second and then sports, sports and more sports. My personality has also remained constant. And why would I change who I am? Being a (self-proclaimed) social butterfly, rom-com lover and hopeless romantic has always been fun.

My computer screen is busted, my iPad is shattered and my iPhone looks like the Terminator. Clearly I'm not good with glass. But this is all well and good, as long as you don't tell my mother, since all of these gadgets somehow still work.

For example, I had the University of New Mexico going to the Final Four. The Lobos had all the ingredients to make a deep tourney run, including a great coach, a veteran squad, lockdown defenders and dynamic wing scorers. Of course, they blew it and my bracket when Harvard upset them last weekend.

I like everything. Literally everything. For perspective purposes, remember last fall when I detailed my huge man-crush on Russell Wilson? Take that affection, and just spread it out everywhere, and obviously send it to everyone.

I've been working out a lot this term. Think Bradley Cooper in "Silver Linings Playbook" (P.S. This column isn't about the Academy Awards, but rest assured I watched every second). Anyway, why am I working out so much, when it used to be torture when I played football?

I lose everything. Literally everything. Quick anecdote: before I went to Israel, I bought a chapstick from Hudson News at the airport. Within an hour I lost it and obviously had to buy another one. After the incident, I told my friend I wouldn't lose another one, this particular one, during the trip. I bet him $10 and won, but as soon as I touched down in New York City, it was gone.

Full disclosure. It's 7 a.m. on Sunday morning and my playlist consists of Katy Perry, the Script, Jesse McCartney and the Lumineers.

"This will be the best Super Bowl in a while." That was the proclamation made by San Francisco 49ers runningback Frank Gore on Super Bowl media day. When he made this statement, I couldn't help but laugh. C'mon Frank! You're in the NFL don't you remember the past five Super Bowls? And how they have all been unreal?

With social media these days, you can find out anything you want to know about your favorite actors, singers or athletes. At this point, it's not even that you can probably find out anything you can actually find anything. Look at Manti Te'o. His life was exposed and then torn to pieces through Twitter, Facebook and mainstream media.

Happy Martin Luther King day everybody! He had a dream, won the Nobel Peace Prize, marched on Washington, but most importantly, he gets us a day off from school every January. And I know the ladies on campus needed it, since rush is typically very stressful.

You guys all know by now that I love football. But there are a few things about my weekend that you probably don't know like how my schedule on Sunday from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. was booked about a week ago. Why, you might ask? The Golden Globes.

When I first sat down to write this column, I figured I would reflect on the major sports stories of 2012. Oh, and Happy New Year everyone! Did you really think we weren't going to make it to 13W? I mean, for one, nothing was stopping me from finally reaching "nonnerdom," and definitely not some awful prediction from the Mayans. Yeah, I told you the Trojans were going to win the Bowl Championship Series. But the world ending? C'mon, man.

Saturday was the last time I strapped on my pads, buckled my chinstrap and laced up my cleats for the Big Green. Yes, we have one final game at Princeton University this week, but I will most likely be in sweats, as I'm not usually active for road games due to the NCAA player limit.
