Sociology professor Janice McCabe will serve as the new Allen House professor, following engineering professor Jane Hill’s dismissal as Allen House professor in April.
In an email sent to Allen House residents today, McCabe wrote that she is looking forward to building a supportive community and plans to host events in her Allen Street residence starting in the summer.
“In particular, as a sociologist who studies friendship and education, I will strive for our community events to provide frequent opportunities to make new friends and strengthen existing friendships,” she wrote.
