Dartmouth accepts 10.3 percent of applicants to Class of 2019

Dartmouth admitted 2,120 students to the Class of 2019 for an overall admission rate of 10.3 percent. The total number of applications received this year was 20,504, and decisions were made available to applicants at 5 p.m. today.

The College admitted 483 early decision applicants to the Class of 2019 last December, about 26 percent of the 1,859-person applicant pool, which was the largest early decision applicant pool in College history.

The total number of students who applied to the Class of 2019 increased by more than 6 percent from last year. The College received 19,296 applications for the Class of 2018 – a 14 percent drop in applications from the previous year – and accepted 2,220 for an acceptance rate of 11.5 percent.
