Four candidates to vie for Student Assembly presidency

Casey Dennis '15, Jay Graham '15, Jon Miller '15 andYesuto Shaw '15 will run for Student Assembly president, and Frank Cunningham '16, Matthew Robinson '15and Harry Qi '17 will run for vice president. Elections will be held Monday, April 14.

Campaigning will officially begin Tuesday atmidnight, and the candidates can participate in debates throughout the week. The Dartmouth will host a debate Tuesday, Student Assembly will host a debate Wednesday and the Inter-Community Council will host a debate Friday. The Elections Planning and Advisory Committee plans to organize a debate hosted by the Greek Leadership Council, but as of press time the date had not been determined.

In 2013, four candidates ran for Student Assembly president and two competed for vice president. In2012, six candidates ran for president and four ran for vice president.

Chase Mertz '15 is the only student running for the 2015 Class Council presidency, and no one is running for vice president. No students are running to be one of 10 Student Assembly 2015 class representatives.

For the 2016 Class Council, Daniel Reitsch '16 is the only presidential candidate, and Victor Muchatuta '16 is the only student running for vice president. Catherine Ding '16 is the only student running for one of 10 2016 class representatives.

John French '17 and Paul Ghazal '17 are running for 2017 Class Council president, andEkenedilichukwuOkonkwoaguolu '17 and Elisabeth Schricker'17 are running for vice president. Linda Attanasio '17 and Noah Manning'17 are running for 2017 Class Council representative.

The candidates for the Committee on Standards and Organizational Adjudication Committee are Henry Balaban '16, Janelle Bullock '15, Taylor Cathcart '15, Abena Frempong '17, Kathryn Gardner '17, Jordan Gershman '17, Chase Gilmore '16, Grant Mortell '16, Daniel Pham '16, Julia Pomerantz '16, Victor Muchatuta '16, and Andrew Zhu '16. There are eight positions total.
Miller and Muchatutaare members of The Dartmouth opinion staff. Ding is a former member of The Dartmouth staff.
