Are Mormons Christian?

To the Editor:

I think it is a bit rich when Latter-day Saints try to involve themselves with Christian groups who they have been taught are apostates from true Christianity. Mormons believe that the baptisms, etc. of other churches have no validity as their pastors etc do not have the true priesthood.

Christianity does not believe that God was once a man and he became a God as Latter-day Saints believe. Christians do not accept the unique Mormon scriptures such as the Book of Mormon and the Book of Abraham.

People should be able to feel that those who associate with them have some basic common beliefs.
