A 23-year-old male was treated at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center early Saturday morning after being assaulted near Foodstop.

The victim, Scott Rouleau of Etna, N.H., said he was assaulted on Maple Street in Hanover between Fleet Bank and Foodstop at 2 a.m. on Saturday by a white male. He described the suspect as being about six feet tall and weighing about 200 pounds, according to a press release from the Hanover Police.

At DHMC, Rouleau recieved eight stitches to a cut on his lip he said he received during the assault. He was released after treatment.

The press release states Rouleau also described the attacker as "having a well-developed athletic build, wearing shorts and a baseball cap worn backwards."
