Storage structure catches fire

The Hanover Fire Department was dispatched to Hanover High School at approximately 9:30 p.m. Sunday night to contain a building "heavily involved in fire," according to a fire department press release.

The building on fire was a storage structure for groundskeeping supplies and materials located near the school's playing fields.

According to the release, the fire was quickly contained and extinguished, and it did not spread beyond the storage building.

The fire was extinguished by the fire department under the direction of Captain Jeryl Frankenfield, and the department has not yet ascertained the origin of the fire because Hanover High was closed yesterday due to the Memorial Day holiday.
