'98 reported missing

Jeanette Lee '98, has been missing for over a week, and her mother has come to Hanover to look for her. Lee was last enrolled this spring.

Lee has contacted the Dean of the College's office, although she declined to reveal her whereabouts, said News Service Director Roland Adams.

"She has assured us of her well-being and of her desire not to be in school at the moment," said Senior Associate Dean of the College Dan Nelson. "She apparently doesn't wish to be in contact with her family."

Lee's mother, who is staying in a Hanover motel, said she thinks Lee has gone far away. She declined to speak further.

Lee's mother purchased an advertisement in yesterday's Valley News with a picture of Lee. The advertisement states that Lee has been missing since July 11.

"Your mother is looking for you," it states. "If you have seen her or know of her whereabouts please call (603) 298 - 8060 anytime."

The phone number is for Maximum Security and Investigation, a West Lebanon private detective agency.

Nelson said College administrators have offered to help Lee's family however they can.

"We have offered to be of assistance to her and her family," Nelson said. "We hope whatever issues they face as a family will be resolved soon."
