The Hanover Police Department is currently conducting an investigation in Brown Hall in the Choates cluster, Detective Sergeant Frank Moran said yesterday. Moran would not say what they were investigating.
Moran said he did not want to release any information because "things are moving right along, and it is still a very active investigation."
On Thursday, one police officer stood outside Brown while another stood inside the first floor hallway. Both officers would not comment on the investigation, but the officer outside said the police department was in the process of obtaining a search warrant for the room.
A student who lives on the first floor of Brown, who requested anonymity, said the police officers stayed in Brown from 1 p.m. until about 7 p.m. Thursday.
The student said the officer in said the room had to be secured while the police waited for a warrant.
