Damage wreaked by yesterday's storm will cost the College somewhere between $5,000 and $10,000 to repair, Associate Director of Facilities Operations and Management John Gratiot estimated yesterday.
During the storm, several trees and branches fell and some water damage was sustained, but "nothing horribly severe" occurred, Gratiot said.
Parked cars were hit by fallen trees and branches at a number of locations on campus, Gratiot said. He said he did not know how badly cars were hit.
Most of the trees that fell were on College rental properties, Gratiot said. On the main campus, Gratiot said many branches fell due to the storm.
At McClane residence hall, Gratiot said a large amount of water had seeped into the basement because of construction work being done on a nearby steamline.
