Fagell drops out

Steve Fagell '95 said yesterday he will not run for Student Assembly vice president because he is no longer interested in the position.

"Basically, I've just sort of decided to pursue other opportunities," Fagell said. "I feel there are more constructive ways to serve the community than to be on the Assembly."

Fagell said he had considered dropping out of the race for some time. He said an effective leader needs to be both enthusiastic and committed, and he questioned his own enthusiasm for the position.

David Gonzalez '94, Fagell's friend and fellow member of Zeta Psi fraternity, dropped out of the Assembly presidential race on Monday. But Fagell said Gonzalez leaving the race was not a major factor in his decision.

There are now only two candidates in the vice presidential race: Alex Morgan '95 and Rukmini Sichitiu '95.
