Reinstated teams gear up to resume practice

After Dartmouth reinstated their teams on Jan. 29, student-athletes on the men’s and women’s golf, men’s lightweight rowing and men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams are preparing to resume training.

Portland Timbers select Dawson McCartney in MLS SuperDraft

On Jan. 21, Dawson McCartney, former Dartmouth midfielder and member of the Class of 2021, was selected 43rd overall in the Major League Soccer SuperDraft by the Portland Timbers, becoming the fifth player from Dartmouth drafted to play in MLS in the past four years. 


Forward Chris Knight '21 will play as a graduate student next year at Loyola Chicago University after recovering from his left Achilles injury.

Senior athletes seek transfers, citing canceled seasons and graduate ineligibility

The Ivy League’s November cancellation of winter sports, and its decision not to move fall sports to the spring, have dashed senior athletes’ hopes for a proper sendoff. Due to the league’s staunch policy against graduate athletic participation, many student-athletes have transferred out of the conference to take advantage of their final years of eligibility.

Reid Cashman named men’s hockey head coach

Reid Cashman, a former all-conference player and assistant coach at Quinnipiac University and a two-year assistant coach for the NHL’s Washington Capitals, will take over as head coach of the men’s hockey team.
