Big Green riders close out successful season

Despite the wicked Maine weather, the 27 members of the Dartmouth Equestrian team wrapped up their fall season one week ago Saturday with a typically excellent showing at Bates College. Samantha Caldwell '98 placed first in the intermediate fences class.

The arts are a major part of Dartmouth life. From guerilla performance art to dancing groups, from major theatrical plays to photography exhibitions, art abounds at the College. While Hanover's art scene can't compare with metropolitan centers like New York or Boston, artists at Dartmouth are hardly voices crying in the wilderness.

Rueb '98 dazzles Big Green tennis

Avery Rueb '98 has definitely made a name for himself at Dartmouth. Most Big Green tennis fans know him as the guy with killer stats: he finished the 1995-96 season at 17-5 with a total of 20 wins.

Jody Watley returns to pop scene

Fans of 1980s music remember Jody Watley's solo debut in 1987 as a moment when rhythm and blues, dance and top 40 pop collided in her music and high-fashion image. In fact, the biographical insert included in her latest CD "Jody Watley's Greatest Hits" features a photo shoot reminiscent of Victoria's Secret. But in her album, Watley is much more than a gorgeous dance diva recapturing previous successes.
