After four years here, one Dartmouth phenomenon I've never been able to fully understand is Student Assembly bashing.
I'm not even going to bother with some thought-provoking misdirect of an opening for this column.
Over the past few weeks, I've been grappling with the question of whether or not I love Dartmouth.
Consider, for a moment, your response to the following hypothetical job listing: "Large governance organization seeking 535 employees to represent more than 300 million clients' domestic and global interests and manage a budget of over $1 trillion.
It's a new year, meaning that while Americans are working out what their taxes are, a plethora of government offices are busy trying to make estimates of budget figures for both 2010 and 2011.
I hate introductory courses. My hatred for them burns so strongly it would make Dante's "Inferno" read like the brochure for an amusement park.
If there is one thing that Dartmouth students are great at, it's knowing how to complain, loudly and often.
Facebook is in a lose-lose situation when it comes to our privacy. On the one hand, the website can't seem to shake the perennial privacy leak, which must be the fault of either the company itself or one of its applications.
Oof. There's been so much heavy stuff on the pages of The Dartmouth lately, you'd think the entire campus was in the streets rioting and burning effigies.
As I have grown older, I have come to the realization that politics in America circles through the same vices year after year in a way that makes NASCAR look novel and exciting.
