Big Green laxers accumulate postseason honors

After finishing the 2004 season with an 8-5 overall record and tied for third in the Ivy League, the Big Green captured seven spots on the 2004 men's lacrosse All-Ivy teams and six selections on the All-New England teams. Tom Daniels '04 was named to the second team for both All-Ivy and All-New England.

Green laxers ride win streak into Notre Dame contest

Since dropping its season-opener, the Dartmouth men's lacrosse team has looked impressive in rattling off five consecutive victories. After downing Colgate for its first win of the season, the Big Green clobbered Hartford March 9 by a score of 16-2 at Scully-Fahey Field in Hanover.

Field Hockey: Orange Crush: Green tops Syracuse for second win

Audrey Knutson '07 made the gamewinning goal with 13:35 remaining, giving the Dartmouth field hockey team (2-10, 0-3 Ivy) a 3-2 victory over the Syracuse Orangewomen on Sunday afternoon at Scully-Fahey Field. The Big Green women came into the game riding the momentum of their first win of the season, last weekend's 5-1 victory over Vermont. "We were all just really excited for this game," said Knutson.

Green drops in-state field hockey battle to Wildcats

Behind three goals from forward Katie White, the University of New Hampshire defeated the Dartmouth field hockey team, 4-0, Wednesday night at Scully-Fahey Field. Dartmouth (0-9, 0-3 Ivy) remained winless through the first nine games of the season while intrastate rival UNH improved to 5-8 on the year. The Wildcats were able to jump on the board less than seven minutes into the game on a goal from Caitlin Gillen.

Coach Kinyon enters squash hall of fame

In a ceremony held last weekend at Princeton University, Chuck Kinyon, head coach of the Dartmouth men's tennis team, was formally inducted into the National Intercollegiate Squash Racquets Association Hall of Fame. "I am very honored and proud to be inducted into the Intercollegiate Hall of Fame," Kinyon said.

Webb, Shrestha grab wins at Harvard Invite

Last weekend, the men's tennis team traveled to Harvard where they competed in the 2003 Harvard Winter Invitational. With Ivy League foes Harvard, Brown and Princeton sending some of their top players, the tournament was filled with tough competition from around the League. The Big Green was able to make some noise, as David Webb '05 defeated David Slater from Marist in the first round, 7-6, 6-4, before losing a hard-fought match to eighth-seeded Anil Shamasdin of Brown, 7-5, 6-2.
