To the Editor: I write this letter on behalf of and with the approval of my co-captain, Jeremy Feldman '07, the captain of the Men's Lightweight Crew team, William Suto '07 and the captain of the Women's Crew team, Anne Kennedy '07.
To the Editor: The Dartmouth's March 1 article ("Living wage drives up DDS costs, prices") incorrectly places the blame for DDS's financial woes on the shoulders of its employees.
I think most students at Dartmouth would agree that we are a fairly tolerant and respectful place.
To the Editor: The Dartmouth should have covered the annual Pow Wow this past Saturday. Why the newspaper thought that a photograph on the front page acted as sufficient coverage is beyond me (The Dartmouth, May 10). Frankly, to put a picture of a Pow Wow competitor in traditional dress on the cover of the newspaper and to not supplement that picture with any coverage or other information supports the stereotype that American Indians are spectacles to be gawked at and not people.
To the Editors: It's great that a student institution on campus took the lead and created a program where students could get their questions about Dartmouth and the town's alcohol policies answered by the police and Safety and Security.
