After facing strong competition at the outdoor Heptagonal Championships earlier in the month, the Dartmouth men's and women's track and field teams continued their spring campaigns with solid individual performances at the IC4A Championships and the Eastern College Athletic Conference Championships last weekend at Princeton, N.J. Although the men's and women's teams finished tied for 23rd and tied for 18th overall, respectively, several Big Green athletes stood out from the crowd with high marks. On the women's side, Alexandra Tanner '11 led the Big Green with a third-place finish in the finals of the 400-meter intermediate hurdles with a time of 59.21 seconds.

For such a small college, Dartmouth has had quite an impressive athletic year. Six teams won league championships or conference tournaments.

As the sun sets on what has been four fantastic years at Dartmouth, I have time to reflect on the good times and the not so good times, my proudest moments and my most embarrassing and, in general, what I have learned along the way. Mike Pagliarulo '09 blasted a three-run bomb just over the right-field fence in the fifth inning to drive in the winning runs for Dartmouth (26-15, 16-4 Ivy) in a 7-4 non-conference victory against Bryant University (32-22) yesterday in Hanover. "I've hit a lot of balls this year pretty well that haven't gone out," Pagliarulo said after the game.
