Thank you, College President Phil Hanlon, for allocating funds to residence hall clusters as part of your “Moving Dartmouth Forward Plan.”
Back in 2010, I asked College President Emeritus Jim Kim to do the same. At the time, my sister was attending Yale University and the proven advantages of such a residential system are enormous. However, fiscal issues were very much on the front burner, and he rejected it due to the cost.
I expect we will see a significant move forward to a warmer and more vibrant bonding experience for all future Dartmouth students.
