Students seeking Homecoming weekend celebrations outside of Greek life will be offered a selection of both, including the Homecoming bonfire and an a cappella showcase.
This year's Homecoming will differ from past years since the new policy prohibits freshmen from entering Greek houses until after the weekend "I hope that the college could organize more alternatives," Karolina Krelinova '14 said.
After the bonfire, Collis After Dark will host a midnight breakfast with live music from Reckless Breakfast.
Every Saturday morning of a home football game, Alumni Relations hosts lectures delivered by Dartmouth professors. Adjunct Tuck School of Business Professor Chris Trimble will speak at 10 a.m. in Alumni Hall.
To accommodate freshmen's limited social options, the Choates residential cluster will host a social inspired by the "Back to the Future" (1985).

The Brovertones a capella group will be hosting Fall Fling from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Spaulding Auditorium. An a capella group from Amherst College will also travel to Hanover to perform alongside Dartmouth acts, Brovertones president Bobby Esnard'14 said.
"Fall fling is one of the biggest a capella concerts of the year," Esnard said. "We've been working on a lot of great songs, a lot of fun arrangements, and I can promise that it's going to be a great time."
On Sunday, "Monster's University" (2013) director Dan Scanlon and producer Kori Rae will accept the Dartmouth Film Award on behalf of Pixar. As part of the ceremony, the Hop will present highlights from Pixar's past films. Also on Sunday, Dartmouth Film Society will show the French film "Contempt (Le Mepris)" at 4:00 p.m.
"Just like any other weekend at Dartmouth, there are so many things that are happening," Collis Center for Student Involvement director Eric Ramsey said. "I really encourage people to check on the online calendar to find out the most up to date information."
The weekend will showcase Dartmouth's traditions and community.
"This is the most exciting weekend at Dartmouth because it captures the essence of what's special about Dartmouth," Ramsey said. "It's when current students, alums and the community come together and celebrate the Dartmouth experience."
