To the Editor:
Why should anyone be any more alarmed at the election of supposedly conservative and anti-establishment trustees to the board than he or she might have been at the election of liberal or radical trustees beginning in the '60s? At that time it led to diversity and (may have) provoked some thought on campus. Perhaps it will do the same now. I can imagine nothing more stultifying to the intellectual atmosphere of a college environment than a homogeneity of ideology.
Up with ideas and down with political correctness.
