SA's Referendum was Clear on the Meaning of the Vote

To the Editor:

Regarding, "SA: Campus must wait for Coke-Pepsi results" (May 11). I find the inference that the campus was misled by the Assembly when they referred to the vote as a referendum puzzling. A referendum implies that the vote would be the official decision of the students, not that it would be binding on the administration. There is, in fact, no logical way it being a referendum of the student body could lead one to conclude otherwise. I strongly suggest you restrain yourselves from such inane criticism in the future.
