Monday's Discussion was Third in Series, not First

To The Editor:

We were very pleased to see front-page coverage of the discussion about sorority rush at Theta on Monday, April 8. The article provides a good sense of the issues raised during the program, and it's always productive for these kinds of discussions to be recognized publically.

As the people responsible for initating the series, however, we do need to clarify some facts. Monday night's discussion was the third in an ongoing series of similar programs jointly organized by the Women's Resource Center and Panhellenic Council, not, as the article states, the first of a series unilaterally offered by Panhell.

In addition, Susie Ettinger '96 is the past-president of Epsilon Kappa Theta, not the past-vice-president of Panhellenic Council. And, finally, along with Professors Amy Hollywood and Mary Turco, Professor Marysa Navarro also participated in the program as an invited faculty member.

This series of programs will continue on May 6 at Kappa Delta Epsilon (7 p.m.) with Professor Barbara Will, students Amy McLean '96 and Dani Brune '96, and WRC director Giavanna Munafo leading a discussion entitled "Choice: Acting as Individual, Sister, House, System." We hope it will be as challenging and insightful as Monday's event.
