To the Editor: As the student representative to the College Committee on Cable and as someone who has invested over 1.5 years to the cable question here at Dartmouth, I honestly shy away from dignifying, with a response, Wesley Lippman's painfully limited and myopic letter to the editor of January 26.
To the Editor: How disturbing and infuriating to read the self-exalted sophistry and thinly veiled homophobia of Noah Hutson-Ellenberg's editorial of April 7 ["There is Nothing Wrong with Expressing Hatred"]. Rather than encourage a campus climate for the freeplay of ideas, Hutson-Ellenberg legitimates hate-speech that closes off discussion, that cowers behind the anonymity of HB mailings, that resorts to crude and offensive bigotry.
To the Editor: As the Student Assembly representative to the College Committee on Cable, I am writing in response to The Dartmouth's consistent misrepresentation of the relationship of the Assembly to the cable issue.
To the Editor: Though I know for a fact that Jonathan Flynn in his letter to the editor of March 5 ["Student Assembly Fails to Accurately Represent the Interests of the Student Body," The Dartmouth] intends no maliciousness, he nevertheless commits an error of logic that begs retort.
