Crew teams find northern success

The men's and women's crew teams posted impressive results in the Royal Canadian Henley Regatta this past weekend, with the men coming up short of first place twice by a few seconds, and the women performing well despite being dealt an unlucky draw. Led by co-captains Matt Muffelman '02 and Alex Hamlin '03, the men's team participated in the Senior A Lightweight 8 Final on Saturday and the lightweight 8 Dash Final under the "North Country RC" team name that same day. Kissling shows promise this year

As predicted by coach David Faucher prior to the season opener, junior starting forward Mark Kissling's game has improved dramatically this season, making him warrant much more playing time than he saw last year. Apparently, it is an improved confidence in his own game that is producing results this year, including a career-high 19 points against Harvard last Saturday.

Ivy League volleyball action gets in full swing

Intra-Ivy League volleyball play was in full effect this weekend. The Harvard Crimson (7-9, 0-2) fell to Princeton in five games and Penn in three games. The Quakers (13-6, 1-1) were on a five-match win streak heading into their first Ivy League match-ups against Dar mouth and Harvard.
