By Dan Simola | May 7, 2001To the Editor: I was just reading Craig Elbert's article ("2005 enrollment sets records," The Dartmouth, May 4th") on the possible increase in admissions for the 2005 class, and I couldn't help but stop and think about one of the paragraphs, which highlighted the percentage of minority students applying. "The 335 students of color, who make up 28.4 percent of the preliminary class, represent a jump from last year's numbers, when only 22.8 percent of the Class of 2004 were minorities.
