An Organizational Adjudication Committee student board will be formed by Winter term to hear allegations of minor misconduct involving student organizations, acting Dean of the College Sylvia Spears said in an interview with The Dartmouth on Friday. The full OAC, which includes students, faculty and administrators, will still convene for serious matters, including cases in which organizations may be removed from campus or face more than one term of probation, she said.

More than 30 students held a sit-in outside of College President Jim Yong Kim's office on Thursday to bring attention to the need for sustainability on campus. The sit-in, which lasted approximately 40 minutes, ended when students spoke with Kim and presented him with a letter suggesting changes to the College's current approach to sustainability, according to students who participated in the event.

The site known for its anonymous and often inflammatory posts has seen almost three times as many visitors, proportionally, since its relaunch on Sept. 20, according to Columbia University alumnus Jonathan Pappas. The site was originally launched in 2006, but later taken offline in October 2007 after Pappas said he tried to redirect posting to a newer version of the site that never became popular.

Liquor law arrests increased from 68 in 2007 to 77 in 2008, despite the significant decline in the number of students referred for disciplinary action, according to the report. The number of arrests in 2008 was about 25 percent lower than the number in 2006.

Pete Mathias '09, Teddy Mathias '09, Johnny Mathias '11 and Casey Gibson have bouncy, swooning voices when singing in their wildly-popular-among-college-kids rock band, Filligar. Their voices lost their edgy charm, however, as the guys drove through the middle of nowhere on their "Stray Dogs Tour." This year's Commencement exercises will mark the end of current College President James Wright's time at the helm of Dartmouth. After 40 years at the College, Wright will step down from his post July 1. Harvard professor Jim Yong Kim a former director of the World Health Organization's HIV/AIDS division will then become the 17th member of the Wheelock Succession of Dartmouth presidents.

So, how did you end up back in Hanover?When I graduated, I moved to Boston and worked as a strategy consultant for five years, helping technology companies. I was a volunteer for the Dartmouth Club of Boston, overseeing all of their young alumni programs, but it wasn't my goal to come back to Dartmouth. Then this position opened in Alumni Relations, so I applied and got the job in 2005. I'd always been interested in working with nonprofits, so I saw this as a good opportunity to work for a nonprofit and support the College which I really care about and get some really great experience before going to business school.

It's easy to see why Ruslan Tovbulatov '09 calls himself "an events planner at heart." As a member of PB and Class Council, former co-chair of Student Assembly's student life committee and Chi Gam's social chair, Ruslan has spent his time at Dartmouth trying to break the mold of typical campus parties. Members of the Dartmouth community gathered on the Green on Wednesday afternoon to celebrate College President James Wright and his wife Susan Wright as they prepare to leave the College. Wright will step down from his position on July 1. The event included several speeches about the Wrights, who both also spoke at the event, as well as performances by the Aires, the Rockapellas and the Barbary Coast Jazz Ensemble, and was emceed by former Student Body President Molly Bode '09. "I think of [the Wrights] as the heart and soul of Dartmouth," Dean of the Faculty Carol Folt said in her speech at the event. "I am glad that President Wright can look out and see so many people here supporting him and celebrating his presidency," Katherine Lindsay '11, who attended the event, said.

The Tucker Foundation's Special Olympics organization hosted its fifth annual Upper Valley Summer Olympics Games on Saturday, according to event chair Kyle Sherry '09. The event, which included 90 participants from New Hampshire and Vermont, served as the regional level of competition. Athletes who achieved qualifying scores or times on Saturday will participate in a state competition later this summer. Approximately 75 Dartmouth students volunteered for the Games, which featured track and field events, swimming competitions and bocce ball on Memorial Field. "It's really important to get involved in the community," Sherry said. "It connects us to something bigger and helps us foster a relationship between Dartmouth and the community."

Weeks, a physician at the VA Medical Center in White River Junction, Vt., was charged Friday with five federal misdemeanor counts by acting U.S. Attorney Paul Van de Graaf, according to the press release. Van de Graaf and assistant U.S. Attorney Heather Ross will prosecute the case, Van de Graaf said in an interview with The Dartmouth. Van de Graaf declined to elaborate on the nature of the charges filed against Weeks.
