This Winter Carnival, hit book series and television show Game of Thrones will come to life on campus for the Carnival of Thrones-themed weekend. Construction has already begun on the snow sculpture that is built in the center of the Green every year, a highlight of many students’ Carnival experience. Reporter Irene Cofie ’16 asked students for their predictions on what they expect from this year’s snow sculpture.

“I think it’s going to be a giant Direwolf.” -Alyssa Loyless ’17.

“I want it to be a dragon with some device coming out of its throat that can make it breathe fire.” - Dustin Selzer ’14.

“Clearly, the snow sculpture is going to be the Red Keep rising over King’s Landing with the three dragons surrounding it. In the center we are going to see Daenerys Stormborn sitting on the Iron Throne.” - Ben Nelson ’17.

“It has to be Jon Snow or the scene when Khaleesi comes out of the fire with the dragons.” - Lydia Cash ’16.

“I think it’s going to be dragon eggs.” - Kendall Piccolo ’17.

“It is going to be Ned Stark in a casket.” - Mitch Horacek ’14 .
