Letter From The Editors: The Editorial Board is Restructured

The Dartmouth’s Editorial Board will now be composed solely of members of The Dartmouth’s Opinion section.

The Dartmouth has restructured its editorial board.

In the past, the Editorial Board was composed of the editor-in-chief, news executives, the production executive and several members of the Opinion section. Moving forward, it will be composed solely of members of The Dartmouth’s Opinion section.

The Editorial Board for the spring term of the 183rd Directorate of The Dartmouth will be overseen by Eli Moyse ’27. Its members are:

  • Ana Arzoumanidis ’28
  • Becca Davis ’29
  • Brendan Hofmann-Carr ’29
  • Luke Montalbano ’27
  • Caroline Menna ’29
  • Oscar Rempe-Hiam ’29
  • Rohan Taneja ’28

The board does not speak for the newsroom or for The Dartmouth as a whole. Its work reflects only the views of its members.

By separating the work of the Editorial Board from that of the newsroom, we aim to create a clear and transparent distinction between opinion and news while continuing to foster thoughtful, well-argued perspectives on issues relevant to our community.

Trust in mass media in the United States is at a low. As a student-run newspaper serving the Dartmouth community and the broader Upper Valley, we are committed to providing rigorous, informative reporting while minimizing concerns about undue influence on our news coverage. We reaffirm our commitment to the integrity of our news and opinion functions.
